Municipal Law

Kennon Craver’s municipal law practice group regularly advises public clients on a on a wide range of legal matters.  We routinely represent governmental bodies regarding legislative and quasi-judicial decision making processes and procedures unique to governmental entities.  Our experience includes: assisting with economic development projects;  advising boards of county commissioners and boards of adjustment; navigating open meetings laws and public record requests; drafting and closing conservation easement transactions;  assisting with title examination, acquisition, development and sale of government property; counseling on public employment matters; and preparing ordinances, contracts, and resolutions.  Our lawyers have represented local governments and elected officials in a variety of litigation matters and we understand the specific challenges that arise when litigating cases on behalf of public clients.  

We offer continuing outside counsel services to public clients and we are also available to assist on specific matters or transactions on an as needed basis depending on the needs of our clients.
